Tarangire National Park is most famous for its high concentration of elephants and baobab trees. Resident animals include lions, leopards, cheetahs and giraffes.

The dry season from June to November sees thousands of animals migrating into the park, such as zebra and wildebeest.

Tarangire National Park is also very popular amongst bird enthusiasts, as it is home to more than 550 bird species.
