The Beacon Equity Trust is an educational charity, founded in 2009, whose principal activity is to support the operation of Beacon Changemakers. It is privately funded and presently operates in the UK and East Africa.  

Beacon Changemakers supports a diverse group of talented and motivated young people who are committed to making a positive impact.  

This scholarship is open to candidates aged 18-21 years old looking to start undergraduate studies who are nationals of and ordinarily resident in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia or South Africa. Candidates must first be nominated by their current school head.
